Compañeros

Compañeros is LLILAS' speakers bureau for the classroom and community. The program is designed to meet increasing interest in teaching young people about Latin America and also to share the wealth of resources available at the institute. Our goal in Compañeros is to encourage the study of Latin American language and culture at all levels.

Since many of our undergraduate and graduate students have traveled to Latin America, we offer them an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with classrooms in the Austin area.

To request a speaker in your classroom or meeting: We ask that you determine a topic in advance. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance to allow for planning and scheduling.
