Tinker CLASPO Internship
Posted: February 1, 2005
LLILAS MA and PhD students can now apply for summer internships to work in Argentine and Chilean NGOs.
The program allows UT graduate students to spend summer working for NGOs or Government offices in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Mexico or Colombia. The internship has three goals:
- To increase the awareness and interest of UT students in policy issues by allowing them to gain experience in community development work in Latin America.
- To support the development of Latin American institutions.
- To promote collaboration between these institutions and our university.
Students are expected to implement or assist in the implementation of a development and research project through a hosting institution and conceptualize this experience in a 20 pages report. This report will be used by the community, the hosting institution and CLASPO.
Master's and doctoral students interested in applying should visit CLASPO's website to learn about our center's activities and our collaborating programs in Latin America. Deadline for submission of applications is 23 February 2005.
