Kimberly Terry Elected to Executive Committee of Graduate Coordinators Network

LLILAS Graduate Coordinator Kimberly Terry has been elected to a three-year term on the Executive Committee of the Graduate Coordinators Network (GCN), the professional organization for Graduate Coordinators across the University of Texas campus.
The GCN works to provide a professional network for Graduate Coordinators as well as to improve graduate studies in general. The committee comprises ten graduate coordinators as well as representatives from Graduate and International Admissions and the Office of Graduate Studies. The membership of the GCN consists of approximately 93 graduate coordinators representing around 12,818 graduate students in close to 103 departments and programs.
Ms. Terry was the Graduate Program Coordinator in Chemistry and Biochemistry before taking the position at LLILAS in 2008. She has more than five years’ experience in the field and plays a central role in the success of the LLILAS academic program. Of her term Kimberly says, “I am honored to have been selected to serve on the EC for the Graduate Coordinator Network. It is an organization that is committed to the value and importance of graduate education, as well as the support and professional development of those of us who have chosen to work in graduate studies. I look forward to the opportunities this position will provide both professionally and for LLILAS.”
