Robin Moore Named Editor of Latin American Music Review

This seminal international music journal owned by UT Press publishes articles in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and has a wide readership throughout the hemisphere.

Established in 1980 by Professor Gerard Béhague, the LAMR has dedicated itself to the dissemination of information about all forms of Latin American music from pre-conquest indigenous expression to conservatory-trained classical composers, to folk and popular styles. Dr. Béhague's tragic passing in June of this year left the journal without leadership for a time. As a former student of Dr. Béhague, Robin Moore, Associate Professor of Music, considers it an honor to continue the work he began with the journal.
