Speakers for the Classroom and Community
LLILAS Public Engagement's speakers bureau is designed to meet increasing interest in teaching young people about Latin America and also to share the wealth of resources available at the institute. Whether it be for a local classroom, a community organization meeting, or a business retreat, our goal is to encourage the discussion of Latin American languages and cultures at all levels.

Since many of our undergraduate and graduate students have traveled to Latin America, we offer them an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience in the Austin area.
To request a speaker in your classroom or meeting: We ask that you determine a topic in advance. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance to allow for planning and scheduling.
For more information on this program, or to volunteer as a speaker, please contact the Director of Public Engagement.
