LLILAS Announces New Annual Publication

Portal, a new annual review of LLILAS events and activities, debuted its first issue just in time for the holiday season. The attractive four-color publication, available in both print and electronic formats, will be published each fall and also posted on the LLILAS Web site.

Designed to reflect the broad reach of LLILAS as an area studies program, the initial issue features articles on the new Blanton Museum, LLILAS collaborations with the Performing Arts Center, and what makes the Benson Library such a magnet for researchers. Other highlights include profiles on new Latin Americanist faculty at UT, the LLILAS books series with UT Press, new offerings through LANIC, and a student's first-person account of her study abroad experience in Argentina.
