FIPSE-CAPES Exchange Programs to Brazil, Various Fields, Competitive Fellowships

The US-Brazil Higher Education Consortia Program is run cooperatively by the governments of the United States and Brazil. The purpose of this program is to promote student-centered cooperation between the United States and Brazil to increase cross-national education and training opportunities in a wide range of academic and professional disciplines.

The US-Brazil Program offers students the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects.  Students benefit because of the additional support, orientation and academic advising offered by the project coordinators at each host university, and by the Brazil Center at UT. They also offer competitive scholarships of up to $4,000 to support one semeter's exchange.

The US-Brazil Program is administrated jointly by the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), U.S. Department of Education, and the Fundação Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES), Brazilian Ministry of Education.

There are no active FIPSE-CAPES study abroad programs at UT for the 2009-2010 academic year.
