In the fall of 2012, the University of Notre Dame Press will publish Immigration Politics and Policy in the New Latino Century (co-edited by David L. Leal and Jose E. Limón). This volume is based on panels sponsored by the Irma Rangel Institute at the first Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR) conference held in Austin, TX.
In 2012, Routledge will publish Immigration and Public Opinion (co-edited by Gary P. Freeman, Randall Hansen, and David L. Leal). This volume is based on papers presented at a University of Texas at Austin conference sponsored by the Irma Rangel Institute and the University of Toronto.
In 2011, Teachers College Press published The Politics of Latino Education (co-edited by David L. Leal and Kenneth J. Meier).
In 2010, Springer published Latinos and the Economy (co-edited by David L. Leal and Stephen J. Trejo). This volume is based on panels sponsored by the Irma Rangel Institute at the 2007 Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR) conference in Austin, TX.
In April of 2010, the University of Notre Dame Press published Beyond the Barrio: Latinos and the 2004 Elections (co-edited by Rodolfo O. de la Garza, Louis DeSipio, and David L. Leal). This volume is based on papers presented at a Irma Rangel Institute conference.
On November 4-6, 2009, the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LILLAS), the Irma Rangel Insitute, and other UT units sponsored the conference "Migration during an Era of Restriction."
On April 24-25, 2009, the Irma Rangel Institute hosted the conference “Latinos and the 2008 Elections.”
On February 27-28, 2009, the Irma Rangel Institute (in conjunction with the University of Toronto) hosted the conference “Immigration and Public Opinion in the Western Democracies.”
In August of 2008, Routledge published Immigration Policy and Security (co-edited by Terri Givens, Gary Freeman, and David Leal), which is based on a conference co-sponsored by the Irma Rangel Institute.
In 2007, the University of Virginia Press published Latino Politics: Identity, Mobilization, and Representation (co-edited by Rodolfo Espino, David L. Leal, and Kenneth J. Meier). This volume was based on papers presented at a conference (in College Station, TX) co-sponsored by the Project for Equity, Representation, and Governance (PERG) at Texas A&M University and the Irma Rangel Institute. The volume was reprinted in paperback in 2008.
