Famed Urdu broadcaster Abul Hasan Naghmi to visit HUF

The Hindi Urdu Flagship will host a talk by famed Pakistani radio broadcaster Abul Hasan Naghmi at 6pm this Tuesday, April 19th in the Meyerson Conference Room (WCH 4.118). The talk, entitled Josh Malihabadi: Devotion and Doubt, will be conducted entirely in Urdu; a question and answer session with a catered dinner will follow at 7.30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Through his work with Radio Pakistan, Naghmi has become a prominent voice in post-partition Pakistan. He has also worked extensively in Urdu language and literature initiatives in both Pakistan and the United States. His recent work includes the foundation of the US-based Society of Urdu Literature (SOUL).
