Join us for a special guest lecture on 1930s Bombay Cinema.
Rosie Thomas is Reader in Art and Media Practice and director of the Centre for Research and Education in Art and Media (CREAM). After a first degree in Psychology, she trained as a Social Anthropologist at the London School of Economics. She did her fieldwork in the Bombay film industry in 1980/81 and, since 1985, has published widely on Indian cinema, contributing to books as well as journals such as Screen and Quarterly Review of Film and Video.
