Texas Asia Conference

The Texas Asia Conference, a University of Texas at Austin graduate student conference on Asia, has collected a host of students from around the world to present their original research projects at a two-day conference held Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th, 2008. Our participants' research not only crosses disciplines and traditional academic divisions of Asia, but also provides graduate students with a dynamic forum in which to present their cutting edge work and benefit from a scholarly exchange of ideas.
Our Keynote Speakers are Dr. Hyaeweol Choi, Associate Professor of Korean Studies at Arizona State University and Professor Stephanie Jamison, Professor of Asian Languages and Cultures, Head of the Program in Indo-European Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
