Kentya Ford, PhD - College of Pharmacy | will be assisting the Institute to help formulate and assess policy recommendations for health education and prevention in communities of color.
Terrence Allen, PhD - School of Social Work | The Youth Without a Voice project brings attention to the issue of youth serving determinate sentences in the state of Texas that puts them at risk of being certified as an adult and placed in an adult facility for a period of time that is not commensurate with the offense committed.
Michele Rountree, Ph.D - School of Social Work | Dr. Michele A. Rountree, Associate Professor School of Social Work will examine the state of Texas' policy decision to opt out of the expansion of Medicaid and the impact of this decision on the one quarter of the uninsured individuals living in the state. In addition, the policy brief will examine measures that would allow Texas to collaborate with other states to administer Medicaid under a block grant and whether such an effort would lead to Medicaid underfunding.
Yolanda Padilla, PhD - School of Social Work | helped to complete a RO1 grant proposal with IUPRA staff in the past year and has provided grant writing consultation.
Richard Reddick, EdD - College of Education | will participate in the second phase of the climate survey to obtain qualitative information from key groups. Dr. Reddick has participated in the analysis of public education policies and their impact on students of color.
