GSAM SALT LAKE CITY OPPORTUNITIES
• Portfolio/Product Support - Product Management, Portfolio Construction/Risk Management, Research/Portfolio Management Support, and Information Management:
Product Management teams (covering Fundamental Equity, Fixed Income, Quantitative Invesment Strategies, 3 Alternative Investments fund-of-funds businesses (Long Only, Hedge Funds, Private Equity), and Global Portfolio Solutions) are involved in aspects of portfolio analysis, client performance reporting/analysis, client materials/business development (marketing materials, materials for client presentations, portfolio review books, board reporting) and supporting client facing product specialists by answering client queries/requests.
Portfolio Construction/Risk Management teams (covering most of the aforementioned asset classes) are responsible for implementing Portfolio Management investment ideas across the portfolios through cash management/rebalancing, account launches/structure & support, compliance setup & monitoring, risk management & reporting, data checking & cleansing, and model running & verification.
Research/Portfolio Management Support teams (covering all of the aforementioned asset classes, plus proprietary alternative investment products) are responsible for data gathering, security research & selection, financial modeling and analysis, company visits, and due diligence/client meetings.
Information Management supports our Quantitative Investments Strategies business and is responsible for managing the market data that feeds GSAM’s various quantitative models. These teams are required to demonstrate deep knowledge within an asset class.
• Distribution Support – IMD Communications and Business Development Services:
IMD Communications is responsible for content production of performance and benchmark reports, agency reports, regulatory reports, competitive reporting, financial statement information and product launch information, in addition to supporting Key Accounts and managing projects and vendor relationships. IMD Communications also is responsible for web production, web content development, web analytics and troubleshooting, in addition to designing GSAM marketing collateral as well as providing desktop publishing support.
Business Development Services is responsible for coordinating and recurring Questionnaire processes and maintaining consultant and third party databases.
