Amazon.com, Amazon Retail Undergraduate Program, Application Deadline, BTT Gateway Job ID 7826
Mon, January 20, 2014
Amazon is looking for smart, analytical, customer-obsessed, and energetic undergraduates to help build a world-class shopping experience and serve as the leadership pipeline for our rapidly growing global retail business. The Retail Undergraduate Program is an ideal entry point to launch your career; we are dedicated to your success and provide all participants with a comprehensive onboarding experience and formalized training to supplement on-the-job learning. Undergrads also have access to career guidance and coaching on an ongoing basis.
As a part of the Retail Undergraduate Program you may have end-to-end ownership of one of the many brands offered on Amazon. You may work across major functional areas such as, buying, inventory management, and online marketing to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon.
On a day-to-day basis you may manage revenue and profits, assist in negotiating for improved business terms, and optimize the supply chain to ensure products are available to customers. In addition, you may be tasked with driving new customer acquisition and traffic through marketing initiatives that ensure customers can find what they want and what they never thought they needed. We will provide you the Amazon retail playbook as a starting point but will challenge you to come up with innovative and exciting ways to grow your business.
The program allows you to build a broad set of skills and prepares you for future leadership roles managing large, complex organizations and businesses. You will be supported not only by leadership, but by a strong network of peers as well as tenured program participants hired through the Retail Undergraduate Program. The members of this community are enthusiastic and able to help you grow professionally while encouraging you to have fun in this fast-paced and exciting environment. Successful candidates will have Amazonian DNA: a bias for action; customer-centricity; flexibility; analytical ability; the drive to own, build, and grow; along with the ability to have a little bit of fun.
