The Group: Morningstar’s Client Solutions group has deep client segment expertise and leads our efforts to bundle individual product capabilities into solutions for different types of investors and clients globally. The Client Solutions group is structured primarily along the following client segments: Advisor, Asset Management, Retirement, Redistributor, and Commodities & Energy.
The Role: This year-round internship provides the opportunity to assist the data operations and quality team within the Commodities and Energy segment in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of data to internal and external databases. In this role you will work on projects related to data quality, data issue review, new data feed development, and market research. Applicants should have an interest in data quality, research, and data analysis.
+ Assist in the addition of new validation checks and quality review on new and existing data feeds.
+ Collect, review, and input data into custom applications.
+ Investigate and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
+ Maintain and revise process documentation.
+ Monitor important developments within the North American and European natural gas, power, and oil markets.
+ Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Economics, or Finance.
+ Relational database experience.
+ Excellent MS Office skills.
+ Team player.
+ Great communication skills.
+ Oracle and SQL experience is preferred.
