Videoconferencing

OVERVIEW:

Liberal Arts ITS can now provide interactive videoconferencing. Both point-to-point (for two parties at two different sites) and multipoint (for multiple parties at multiple sites) videoconferences are available. Departments, faculty, and staff can host or participate in videoconferences for distance education, meetings, presentations, lectures, research, or supplemental educational, informational or administrative programming.

FEATURES:

• Videoconferencing facilities are available in SAC, FAC and CLA [from Jan 2013]
• Schedule videoconferences among U.T. component campuses and to sites across Texas, the U.S., and the world.
• Instead of traveling to a meeting, lecture, or presentation, you can attend by videoconference. Save money and reduce carbon emissions. See Green IT initiative.

COST:

No cost to departments within the College of Liberal Arts.
