Friday Technology Forum

eAnthro Team and DIIA kick off 2009-10 Friday Technology Forum Series

Friday Sep 25, 2009 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Mezes Hall, Basement Auditorium (MEZ B0.306)

Please join Liberal Arts ITS for the first Friday Technology Forum of the 2009-10 academic year:

John Kappelman and his project team members will present their work on the eAnthro suite of websites, including the newly designed e-Skeletons and e-Fossils sites. Through the use of 3-D laser scanners, high resolution X-ray computed tomography (HRXCT), and digital photography, a large fossil collection is now available for viewing and study through these websites.

Following this presentation, Kyung Huh of the Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment (DIIA) will present on the Mobile Ongoing Course Assessment (MOCA) application. The presentation will include a demo of MOCA and other teaching applications that use mobile technology. Attendees are encouraged to bring mobile devices and laptops capable of wireless internet access.

These presentations are part of the Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services monthly "Friday Technology Forum" presentations, which showcase the ways faculty put technology to work in the classroom.
