Classroom Technology Initiative

The College of Liberal Arts and Liberal Arts ITS are participating in a University-wide initiative to install computers and multimedia presentation equipment in classrooms. Funds are available for departmental classrooms, especially when plans conform to the University standard console. Please contact Grant Barger for details on the University-level classroom technology initiative.

Proposals should include:

  • a list of the classes that will use the room
  • the number of students in each class
  • a description of how each class will use the technology

Special Note on Budgets

It is not necessary to provide specifications or cost estimates for classroom multimedia equipment in the budget section of the proposal site. Simply note "standard classroom console" or "standard seminar room system" and LAITS classroom staff will provide all design and pricing details, including installation costs. If you do not want a standard system, just note equipment types such as "portable projector" or "document camera," and LAITS staff will research and price appropriate equipment for you.
