College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts is offering a new set of general online education classes in Psychology, Government, Philosophy, Globalization, and other general topics that are open to take even if you’re not currently enrolled as a student at the University of Texas.

Don't miss a great opportunity for university staff and family members to experience a challenging college course, with more flexibility in scheduling than a traditional face-to-face class.  Parents, faculty, and students from other universities may also benefit from these authentically Austin online general education courses.

Featuring live, on-demand, and self-paced options, COLA Online Classes let nearly anyone in good academic standing experience the best faculty and online education resources that UT has to offer.  Featured faculty include Samuel Gosling & Jamie Pennebaker, Robert Moser & Pat McDonald, Bethany Albertson & Eric McDaniel, James Henson, Daniel Bonevac, John Hoberman, and Jennifer Ebbeler.  Offered in cooperation with University Extension, credit may be transferable to degree programs at other institutions.

Featuring three different styles of course delivery:  LIVE, ON-DEMAND, and SELF-PACED formats, these courses offer something for every learning style.  The LIVE course is delivered on a specific day and time twice a week for a full semester.  The ON-DEMAND follows a traditional semester model, but you complete the coursework with a group of peers with staggered deadlines in a fixed period.  SELF-PACED courses are offered through University Extension.  Each COLA course has a unique mix of custom designed instructional elements and fresh, original content to keep students learning key basic concepts in subjects applicable to a variety of life situations and career goals.

Hurry! Fall courses start August 26th, 2014. Enroll now or sign up to be the first to know of new course offerings.  Introductory course fees range from $200-$350, making this one of the best values available anywhere for fully accredited online college and university courses.
