Conference: "The Future of Latin American Cultural Studies: 20 Years of JLACS"

Colloquium participants will focus on some of the most urgent questions facing practitioners of Latin American Cultural Studies today. Emergent issues and historically important questions that have been receiving new treatment by scholars will be addressed.

The four main themes of the conference, envisaged as a series of dialogues, include: the mass media and social movements, politics and the arts, resurgent indigeneities and ethnicities, and geographies of power and resistance.
