Lecture: "The Rules as a God: Investigation in Early Classic Maya Structure at El Zotz, Guatemala"

Edwin Roman Ramirez will discuss his research at the archaeological site of El Zotz, located in the Petén region of Guatemala.  He will explain the importance of the recently discovered structure of The Night Sun and the new evidence of this Classic Maya site which made international headlines earlier this summer.

Edwin Roman Ramirez is a PhD student at LLILAS and co-director of the El Zotz archaeological site where he as worked since 2009.
