Tani Adams is an independent consultant in Washington D.C. and has been coordinating the Latin American Working Group on Chronic Violence at the Myrna Mack Foundation. She has been a Fellow and consultant for the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and a Visiting Scholar at George Mason University. From 1996 to 2007, she was Executive Director of CIRMA (Centro de Investigaciones Regionales de Mesoaméria) in Guatemala.  In recent years, she has expanded her research beyond Guatemala to other countries throughout Latin America and the world.
