This international forum will explore recent trends and research on rural Mexico-U.S. migration, and related economic, social, cultural and political transformations occurring in rural communities within both nations. An examination of rural places and the people who inhabit them, the processes of globalization, reconfigurations of social and economic relations, migrant networks and settlements, and the intersection between migration, rural development and social policy.
