Professor Ann Twinam Wins LASA Bryce Wood Book Award

Professor of History Ann Twinam, a LLILAS faculty associate, has won the Latin American Studies Association’s Bryce Wood Book Award for Purchasing Whiteness: Pardos, Mulattos and the Quest for Social Mobility in the Spanish Indies (Stanford, 2015). The award is given at each LASA congress to an outstanding book on Latin America in the social sciences and humanities published in English.
