The course is an intensive introduction to the Nahuatl language. It seeks to develop knowledge of the grammar and conversation skills through intensive class work and drills. Topics include: the sounds of Nahuatl; nouns and possessive markers; basic verb inflection; perfective and imperfective verbal forms; yes/no and direct questions; space deictics and numbers.  Students are expected to participate in three weekly grammar/vocabulary sessions and in two weekly drill sessions with the native speaker instructor.
