September 1, 2011 - August 31, 2012 Year 2
September 1, 2012 - August 31, 2013 Year 3
September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014 Year 4
September 1, 2014 - August 31, 2015 Year 5
September 1, 2015 - August 31, 2016 Year 6
September 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017 Year 7 (terminal year)
March/April of 2015 department notifies Dean's Office that candidate will go up for promotion in September of 2015 (the candidate is in her 5th year).
Spring/Summer of 2015 external reviewers are identified and receive materials (the candidate is in her 5th year).
September of 2015 promotion materials are submitted to the Dean's Office (the candidate is in her 6th year).
October of 2015 promotion committee reviews and votes on candidate.
November of 2015 Dean submits his recommendation.
December of 2015 Dean is notified of promotion decision by the President.
If the decision is to promote the candidate the new title will be effective on September 1, 2016 (the candidate begins her 7th year).
If the decision is "terminal appointment" the candidate's terminal year will be September 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017.
