Hemispheres has a long history of innovation, which reached new levels on Thursday, October 31 when our podcast program 15 Minute History
has managed to climb into the #1 slot on iTunes U.
We’re very proud of our core team: CMES Outreach Director Christopher Rose, Joan Neuberger, Professor of History, and Henry Wiencek, Associate Editor of Not Even Past who have worked very hard to make this project useful and interesting for teachers and students, and for all listeners, and to Courtney Meador in the Department of History for the work she does in helping us with publicity.
We’re also thankful for the wonderful support of the units in the Hemispheres Consortium: the Center for European Studies, the Teresa Lozano Long Institute for Latin American Studies, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, the Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies, and the South Asia Studies; and also for the terrific support of the Department of History and the Institute for Historical Studies.
We also feel very lucky to have an ace recording team in Mike Heidenriech and Jacob Weiss in Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services, who make us sound so good!
And, of course, we appreciate all our subscribers for listening and occasionally dropping us a line like this one:
"I love this podcast! I look forward to it (seriously) on my commute each morning! Thank you for all of your efforts."
