Escobedo Esthetics

Spring 2011 Site Review

Position: Brand Ambassador
Student: Government Senior

As Brand Ambassador I have had a number of various responsibilities at Escobedo Esthetics. My responsibilities have gone past my title as “Brand Ambassador” and extended to responsibilities involving control of the marketing tactics within the practice. I was not expecting to be trusted with so much responsibility as in intern, but am more than happy that I have been. As Brand Ambassador, my main responsibility has been to directly represent Escobedo Esthetics, and to help to expand their client base as well as awareness of their practice throughout Austin, Texas by visiting businesses with target clients throughout the area. These businesses include for the most part salons and gyms. I visit the gyms and introduce Escobedo Esthetics, who we are, and what we offer, in the hope of gaining direct clients or references through those businesses. I have arranged for demo’s to be set up at gym’s in the downtown area, in which our staff of estheticians set up a facial booth and provide free facials throughout the day to appeal to potential patients and gain their interest. Aside from serving as a direct representation of the practice, I also helped to update social media sites including Facebook and Twitter by creating several new statuses each day. I also created a weekly blog and several social media campaigns to advertise new procedures.

I have truly enjoyed being given so much responsibility as Escobedo Esthetics. With the variety of tasks I have been able to be constantly challenged, always learning new necessary skills for the business world. It has continued to be interesting, and I believe has provided me with the knowledge and experience I need to successfully enter the real world.
