PLEASE NOTE: The CIA Crisis Response Simulation and the CIA's Information Session have switched dates/times; the updated information is below.
*******************************
Recruiters from the CIA's Directorate of Intelligence (DI) office will host a Crisis Response Challenge event at UT. Students participating in the challenge will be divided into teams of 4-5 students. Each group will be given information on a crisis situation and each will have a period of time to analyze a hypothetical situation and create a response memo to the President with recommendations on how the U.S. should respond. These recommendations will be presented to the group and the Recruiters/Directors will provide feedback. The purpose is to duplicate a situation CIA Analysts would have to address in their jobs.
The Crisis Response Simulation provides opportunities to:
- Improve leadership skills;
- Work in dynamic groups;
- Analyze unclassified data used by intelligence analysts;
- Produce a deliverable under time constraint; and
- Compile analysis into an oral brief.
