Altria Student Leadership Development Program - Application Deadline

What is the Student Leadership Development Program?

The Student Leadership Development Program (SLDP) is an exciting educational program designed to enhance a student’s leadership capabilities.  Facilitated by senior-level executives, this program will complement classroom knowledge and improve the student’s ability to gain future employment.  This is achieved through three 2-hour sessions that focus on different aspects of “personal branding”.  Throughout the course, candidates will have an opportunity to interact with company executives and recruiters to gain a better understanding of what employers are seeking and how to best prepare.

 

What are the benefits of participating in SLDP?

Who is eligible to apply for the Program?

Any University of Texas-Austin, 1st - 3rd year student

Contact recruiter for an application.  Submit completed application and resume to recruiter no later than March 25, 2012.

 

Details of SLDP Leadership Sessions:

Session 1:  You as a Brand    April 4th, 2012, 6-8pm  

At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to:

- Recognize what makes an effective brand

- Understand how personal branding can impact their future

- Have a plan to create their personal brand

 

Session 2:  Communicating Your Brand  April 11th, 2012, 6-8pm

At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to:

 - Restate features of professional communication

- Effectively structure verbal communication

- Effectively connect with others via professional communication

Session 3:  Live Your Brand   April 18th, 2012, 6-8pm

At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to:

- Effectively execute your personal brand

- Restate how Altria Group evaluates leadership (personal brand evaluation)
