A Day in the Life of State Government - Registration Deadline
Fri, October 26, 2012
Interested in what it might be like to work in a State Government Agency? If so, you are invited to register for this free event, which will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Campus from 8:30am-4:00pm. Participants will be limited to the first 50 students who register. Lunch will be provided at no cost to participating students.
The goal of this event is to offer UT Austin students an opportunity to learn about state government and provide an opportunity to experience what it is like “on the inside” of a state agency. Students will have the chance to ask questions, tour some of the DARS offices, and interact with people from the various career tracks available inside our agency. It is our hope that as students gain awareness of how state government is organized, they may consider an area in state government as a future career choice.
