Project Vote Smart is a non-profit, non-partisan political research organization dedicated to educating voters about the people who govern us.  The Project is currently recruiting for its Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 Legislative Research Internship Programs at UT Austin.  To apply, send a resume and cover letter to
The Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life was established at The University of Texas at Austin in 2000 to respond to growing political cynicism and disaffection in the United States.  The Annette Strauss Institute envisions a democracy where all citizens are informed, vote, and are actively involved in improving their communities.  Through nonpartisan research, education, and outreach, the Institute seeks to understand and overcome obstacles to civic engagement.
