Texas Historical Commission Social Intern - Application Deadline

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: The Social Media intern will work with the Social Media Coordinator for the Texas Historical Commission (THC) on many tasks to include, but not limited to, photo archiving/categorization and setting up photo albums across various platforms, basic blog duties (including editing content, shrinking and resizing photos, layout, and posting), setting up a Pinterest account for the THC with galleries, and work on the agency Flickr account.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, History or other relevant fields. General coursework in a marketing, English, or journalism preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Familiarity with sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest, and YouTube. Familiarity with basic office equipment and photo editing software preferred. Excellent writing and organization skills. Must be self-motivated.
