Austin Children's Museum Blog Intern - Application Deadline

The mission of the Austin Children’s Museum is to equip and inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers.
In this position the intern will become familiar with the Museum’s signature approach and will help communicate this approach to the public through regular contributions to the Museum’s blog (http://blog.austinkids.org). The intern will research and write up DIY projects, science experiments, and at-home investigations for kids and families. The intern may also help Museum staff prepare for special events, and will attend these events in order to cover them for the blog.
This internship position will provide the student with practical experience working in the museum setting. They will have the opportunity to work with a well respected educational establishment and learn the behind the scenes workings of a successful children’s museum. The internship will also allow the student to learn how new technologies are being used in informal education.
