Austin Children's Museum Technology Education Intern - Application Deadline

The mission of the Austin Children’s Museum is to equip and inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers.
In this position the intern will become familiar with the Museum’s signature approach and will assist directly with our Technology Education and Outreach programs. The intern will assist with preparing and developing curriculum and materials for afterschool outreach classes and summer camps where elementary students learn Lego Robotics and simple computer programming. The intern will also work directly with students and the Technology Education teaching team in classes.
This internship position will provide the student with practical experience working in the museum setting. They will have the opportunity to work with a well respected educational establishment and learn the behind the scenes workings of a successful children’s museum. The internship will also allow the student to learn how a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum is developed and implemented by an informal education institution.
It is the mission of the Austin Children’s Museum to create innovative learning experiences for children and families that equip and inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers.
