Austin Pro Bono Community Engagement Internship - Application Deadline
Thu, March 21, 2013
The mission of AustinProBono (APB) is to connect skills based volunteers with nonprofit projects. We need savvy, independent volunteers who care about supporting the skills based volunteering movement in Austin to help us establish and maintain relationships with local nonprofits and volunteers. Strong communication skills are a must and your interest in relationship building will be a great asset to this internship. This is an outstanding opportunity for a future nonprofit or for profit leader to network extensively within the nonprofit and for profit communities and learn a great deal about the needs of both sides.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Build relationships with volunteer groups, businesses and professional associations to share the mission of APB and engage them in skills based volunteerism.
Oversee the process of matching non-profits with volunteers and ensure they have a project plan, clear goals and objectives, an established timeline and all the tools they need to be successful.
Serve as the main point of contact for projects and communicate progress to APB Board effectively.
Collect data from all users on metrics related the project completion, ways to improve the functionality of our online platform and tangible assets related to all projects.
Maintain and update the database of nonprofits, volunteers and business to ensure we have the most up to date information on those interested in working with APB.
Please send your resume and cover letter by 3/21 describing why you are interested in this internship to Lisa Graham at firstname.lastname@example.org.
