Great Basin Institute Greenhouse Assistant Manager - Application Deadline

Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with The Green House Project, seeks an
AmeriCorps Intern to assist in planning and overseeing the daily operations of a
greenhouse. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
-Managing the care, harvest, arrangement, and distribution of flowers and other
plants as needed at all stages of growth;
-Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the activities and performance of students
and volunteers to run the CSA;
-Observing environmental standards for agricultural and horticultural production,
pest management and sanitation in raised bed crops and cut-flower bouquets;
-Maintaining all records electronically;
-Attending required training courses as directed;
-Being responsible for following safety procedures;
-Distribute cut-flower bouquets, while building relationships with sponsors and
donors, and acting as an information resource for The Greenhouse Project; and
-Manage the Farmers Market CSA pickup and herb sales.
