MediaScience conducts research for Disney Media Networks and investigates a variety of media-related research questions for ABC, ESPN, ABC Family, ABC News, and Disney Channel. We apply the rigor of experimental research to the evaluation of various media and advertising platforms. MediaScience employs Biometric Research Assistants to prepare biometric data for analysis.
Biometric Research Assistants must possess, at a minimum, the following qualities:
An understanding of the value of all types of data collected
A solid understanding of experimental procedures
Meticulous attention to detail
High level of teamwork
Ability to be thorough with even small or mundane tasks
Willingness to learn
Applicants with experience in the following areas will be strongly considered for the position:
Biometric equipment (esp. Biopac and/or ADInstruments)
Experience with biometric software (e.g., Acknowledge)
Statistical software (esp. SPSS)
Neuroscience (e.g., fMRI, EEG, etc.)
Pay and Hours
Pay is $11.25/hour with benefits for full-time hires. Although we are seeking a full-time Biometric Research Assistant, part-time applicants will be considered. Part-time Research Assistants may be required to work from 10-30 hours per week depending on lab needs. The lab is open 7 days per week, from 8:30AM to 8:30PM. Ability to work evening and weekend shifts is required.
There are a number of required duties to be carried out each day by Research Assistants. These include, but are not limited to, opening and closing procedures, data prep, data entry, data coding, document scanning, document shredding, lab maintenance, equipment maintenance, and more.
