Description: The intern/volunteer will assist the Outreach and Education director in researching topics related to Texas moving image history, developing and curating exhibits and programs, updating website content, organizing educational programs, maintaining a contacts database, publicizing and promoting TAMI and the Texas Film Round-Up, contacting partners and participants, developing blog content, and maintaining files. The intern/volunteer will also assist in the management of special events and social media. May include some optional travel around Texas.
Qualifications: Have an interest and/or background in museums, information science, education, history and media. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and energetic. Knowledge of Texas history is helpful.
Work hours: Fall 2013 semester. Approximately 10 – 15 hours/week. Flexible hours on Mon – Fri between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Location: TAMI offices at 501 N. IH 35, Suite 204, Austin (May include some optional travel)
