Regardless of college major or professional experience, nearly 100% of our full-time employees start out in our Management Training Program. This allows everyone to learn our business from the ground up and understand how they play a significant role in seeing it succeed. 



Once you've completed your initial orientation and training, you'll be assigned to a branch office in your home area and the hands-on training begins. You'll learn valuable business skills from capable mentors who were once in your shoes. Nearly 100% of all our managers and corporate executives started out as Management Trainees. 



During your first year, you will actively participate in everything from sales and marketing and customer service to operations and finance. As you progress, you will be tested and evaluated to determine your proficiency in these areas. Successful completion of these tests and evaluations will result in rewards, pay increases and the opportunity for continued promotions. 



As you progress, increasingly more opportunities will become available to you. You can choose, as most people do, to continue your rewarding ascent within our Rental Operations managerial track or you can explore one of many other exciting options including Fleet Management, Human Resources, Car Sales, Accounting, Marketing and more. 

I. SALES AND MARKETING 

We generate business by word-of-mouth advertising rather than radio/TV advertising. We train our people on how to generate business within the community. We do "sales calls" on such sources as insurance agents, dealership General Managers and their service writers, auto body shop owners and managers, hotel reservationists and concierges. You will visit these referral sources and "sell" our services, our cars, our rates, and our professionalism. 

II. CUSTOMER SERVICE 

Our main source of business is through repeat customers and referrals. Because of this, management trainees are thoroughly trained in customer service. As a trainee, you will handle phone and walk-in inquiries by quoting rates, making reservations and informing potential customers on our various services. You will also be writing rental contracts on the computer, verifying the renter’s information and setting up direct billing. When customers return a car, it is checked in so that mileage and condition can be verified and so than any necessary maintenance will be noted. After cars are checked in, the rental contract is closed and payments are receipted. Since the management trainee is generally the customer’s main contact within an office, you will be trained to handle all customer situations. 

III. ADMINISTRATIVE 

As a management trainee, it will be your responsibility to "proofread" closed out contracts and complete them for accounting purposes. You will learn how to balance a cash box and make a bank deposit. There will be various reports you will learn in order to understand fleet control, fleet maintenance, fleet utilization, and "per car" income. 

IV. PERSONNEL AND OFFICE MANAGEMENT 

As your training progresses, you will help train other new employees and go through various performance evaluations with your manager. Each evaluation is designed to reinforce your on-site training, and to let you know what Enterprise expects of you. You will also assist your supervisors in any job functions that they will give to you as they feel you are ready. 

V. FLEET CONTROL MAINTENANCE 

You will be responsible for deciding the number and type of cars to prepare for rent. At times you will arrange interior and exterior cleanup of cars through a wash facility or a car prep to perform at the office. You may have to check fluids, trunk, fuel, periodic service, minor repairs and adjustments. Determine the need for scheduled routine maintenance, minor repairs, recalls and adjustments. 

VI. CAREER GROWTH 

Enterprise promotes only from within and promotions are based 100% on job performance. The average training for this entry-level position is 1 year. The training program is completed upon passing the MQI (Management Qualification Interview). From there you would become an Assistant Manager for approximately one year. After a total of about 2 years, you are ready to become a Branch Rental Manager. The next levels would be Area Manager, City Manager, 
and General Manager/Vice President.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelors Degree required 

Minimum 6 months of experience in sales and customer service (with set goals or bonus potential) OR (in a retail, call center or restaurant environment) 

Will consider 1 year of leadership experience in organizations/clubs, military, volunteerism, community service or in an organized athletic environment, in lieu of work experience. 

Must have a valid driver's license in with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years. 

No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years (DUI/DWI). 

Must be at least 18 years old. 

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. 

Must currently live in Austin, TX or willing to relocate within the next 30 days. 

Must be available to work an average of 48 hours per week. 

Must be willing to accept first year compensation average of $36,000
