Our localization strategy, called "My Macy's", has been an important stimulus to our growth. The "MyMacy’s" initiative allows us to custom-tailor the merchandise assortment offered at each Macy’s store to meet the size needs, color preferences, climate conditions, and fashion tastes of customers in each unique geographic area. Building upon the localization concept, Macy’s recently launched the "MyMacy’s 2.0" initiative which will put even greater emphasis on tailoring the merchandise assortment at special small-volume stores while placing extra emphasis on the omnichannel blended shopping experience. 

Program Overview 
The Executive Development Program is a series of rotations designed to build your ability to drive sales results while developing a combination of strong business acumen and sales leadership. It begins with a 10 week mentorship assignment that provides exposure to all functional areas of the store, while focusing on store business trend analysis, building relationships with colleagues in all business units, the customer, and the sales team. Your next rotation will be a transitional assignment designed to hone the skills you learned in the first 10 weeks of the program. You will spend time in a different merchandise area of responsibility for the next 1 to 3 months. Following this rotation, you will be placed as a Sales Manager where you will continue to develop and you will: 
- Manage a multi-million dollar business and drive the profitability of that business 
- Lead a wide range of activities including developing talent, coaching associates and delivering on our customer service promise 
- Supervise a team of approximately 10 to 20 associates, creating a customer-focused environment

What to bring to the program: 
• Bachelors degree with solid academic record, all majors welcomed 
• Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, assertiveness and self-motivation 
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage complex relationships 
• Ability to prioritize projects and execute multiple tasks to achieve productivity and business goals 
• Strong business background with ability to analyze data & draw conclusions 
• Willingness to relocate as you advance in your career may increase your chances for more frequent promotions
