The Group: Morningstar’s Client Solutions group has deep client segment expertise and leads our efforts to bundle individual product capabilities into solutions for different types of investors and clients globally. The Client Solutions group is structured primarily along the following client segments: Advisor, Asset Management, Retirement, Redistributor, and Commodities & Energy.
The Role: In the role, you serve as the first point of contact via phone, e-mail, and web-based support for Morningstar Commodity Data’s clients regarding software and data questions. You will be trained in all of Morningstar Commodity Data’s software tools and data products and work closely with internal groups such as development, data operations, client management, server administration, and sales. It is a great opportunity for you to build a well-rounded skill set as you progress in your career growth either within the Support track or in other teams at Morningstar. This position is based in our Austin, TX office.

Responsibilities
+ Assist clients in accomplishing their trading strategy goals via our database, historical analysis tool, and related trading applications.
+ Research trade strategy, and Morningstar Commodity Data product and data content questions posed by clients.
+ Monitor hardware and software performance on clients’ locally installed systems.
+ Provide training to clients on Morningstar Commodity Data’s data offerings and software products.
+ Interact with Morningstar Commodity Data partner data vendors.

Requirements
+ Bachelors degree in economics, finance, computer science, or related field.
+ Comprehensive understanding of economics, finance, and statistics.
+ Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Works well with internal and external teams as well as independently.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Problem solving skills.
+ Attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
+ Strong client service and relationship-building abilities.
+ Advanced computer skills, including experience with SQL and VBA is desired.
+ Prior experience in a product support role is preferred.
+ Experience using Salesforce is desired.
+ ITIL Certification is preferred.
