The internship is a paid role beginning immediately and ending August 15, 2014.

Our software provides intuitive visualization around consumer insight and perceptions, derived from artificial intelligence and machine learning. The Linguistics intern will work directly with our Data Science Team.
Requirements:
• Must have experience or education in Semantics, Pragmatics, Morphology, and Syntax or similar
• Nice to have experience in Lexical Databases or Corpus Linguistics
• Solid communication skills
Project Description
Although text appears typically as a linear sequence of words, the underlying structure of natural language is more complex. To understand human language, machines need to recognize this complex structure accurately. Recent work on parsing natural languages using data-driven techniques have resulted in fast and accurate approaches for analysis of the syntactic structure of isolated sentences in specific text genres and domains. The intern’s role will be to apply linguistic skills to support the teams’ machine learning efforts.
