Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, possess excellent writing skills, and be organized and detail-oriented. Preference will be given to those with some legal experience; however, it is not required. Also, preference will be given to those who have completed or are pursuing a college education - more specifically, those interested in pursuing a legal career.

The paralegal intern will work under the supervision of other paralegals, law clerks, and attorneys while gaining experience in the legal field in Houston, TX, home to the center of the Texas oil, gas and medical industries.

The tasks that paralegal interns can expect to learn and partake in are:
• Drafting of legal documents and legal correspondence.
• Filing of legal documents in person and e-filing at various local courts.
• Conduct legal research on various cases or projects.
• Assisting office staff with creation of binders and delivery of documents for presentations, hearings, and motions to be filed, including but not limited to, the copying/scanning of papers, indexing of files and preparation of exhibits.

This is an unpaid internship (to be negotiated)
that can either be part-time or full-time according to your schedule between the hours of 9:00 to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
