Workshop: Finding and Applying to Jobs in the Federal Government and at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Who: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in partnership with The University of Texas at Austin - Liberal Arts Career Services, to discuss federal-wide internship, fellowship, public health training, and career opportunities nationwide and in Texas
What: Find & Apply Workshop (view agenda) with CDC Staff

Where: Flawn Academic Center (FAC), Room 21
Registration: This event is free and open to all majors. Students are strongly encouraged to attend with laptops. Click here to pre-register.
The Find & Apply Workshop will:
1. Provide a space for students and other talented individuals to meaning-fully engage and interact with human resources experts and recruiters at the federal level to learn more about finding and applying to jobs with the federal government, writing an effective résumé, and navigating the online job portal USAJOBS;
2. Highlight a variety of special hiring authorities, including Schedule A (disability), Student Pathways and Veterans programs, and explain the qualifications that must be met for each; and
3. Showcase federal and CDC-specific internship and fellowship programs and job vacancies nation-wide and overseas.
