Policies for Students Enrolling Through University Extension
Enrollment through University Extension is only available to students NOT concurrently enrolled at UT Austin.
Students seeking college credit must satisfy TSI/THEA requirements. Official documentation must be provided by Tuesday, September 17. No refunds will be given if you register and are withdrawn because you fail to provide official THEA documentation.
Students may audit the class rather than enroll for academic credit. The fee for the class is the same, but auditing students do not need to satisfy TSI/THEA requirements. The deadline to change to or from "audit" status is the first day of the semester, Wednesday, August 28. Audited classes do not appear on a UT Austin college transcript.
Required Identity Verification
Students must have their identity verified in person by a notary public or at an approved Testing Site. Students who do not complete the required identity verification by the deadline - 15 November 2013 - will not receive credit for the course and will not receive a refund.
Important Dates and Deadlines
Late registration: July 12 (late fees begin to apply)
First refund deadline: August 28 (course fee minus $40 admin fee)
Second refund deadline: September 6 (50% of course fee)
Last Day to Drop the Class without an appeal: 15 November 2013
High School Students
High school students may audit the class or take it for college credit if they meet the requirements above.
To earn high school credit as well as college credit students will need to contact both a high school administrator and University Extension.
