Monica Chadha, Former Graduate Student Assistant, University of Texas at Austin
Monica Chadha received her PhD in journalism in May 2014 from the University of Texas at Austin.
Monica oversaw the content for the official website as well as other press-related content for the Texas Policy Evaluation Project.
Most of Monica's research deals with studying whether new communication tools aid or abet various social groups such as journalists, activists and news audiences in their work. She also holds a bachelor’s in sociology and political science from the University of Mumbai, a master’s in political science from the University of Mumbai and a master’s in American Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
Prior to graduate school, Monica worked as a radio producer and online correspondent for the British Broadcasting Corporation in Mumbai, India. She is now an assistant professor at Arizona State University.
Outside the office, she can be found working out at the gym, getting brunch with friends or making travel plans.
