Primary research interests of faculty working in the philosophy of mind are philosophy of action, theories of consciousness, concepts, content, mental causation, free will, naturalism, phenomenal qualia, reduction, supervenience, and the internalism/externalism debate.

An interdisciplinary seminar each fall, team-taught by faculty from Computer Sciences, Linguistics, Philosophy, and Psychology, introduces students to key areas of cognitive science.
