The Appeal Process

Plan II has an appeal process. Applicants who have been denied admissions to Plan II Honors and wish to appeal, must send a formal appeal letter addressed to the Plan II Admissions Committee.  This must be a hard-copy letter sent via US mail.  We will NOT accept an email or or a letter attached to an email. The appeal letter may result in a denied applicant moving from Denied to Wait List status.

We can’t give any prediction of the likelihood of admission from the wait list.

The appeal letter should request that the application will be reconsidered. What an applicant includes in addition to that is up to the individual.  Plan II has received three sentence appeal letters and three page appeal letters. If you have strengths or experiences you feel may have been overlooked or that you did not have the opportunity to explain, you should highlight these in your letter.  Emphasizing strong motivation and writing a strong letter of appeal are very important.

Those applicants who were offered the Wait List option rather an admission or denial, will be considered for admission if spaces are available, before those applicants who are placed on the Wait List through the appeal process. It's important to emphasize that chances of success are rather limited.
