Eduardo C. Corral has received the Whiting Writer's Award, the Discovery/The National Award, the J. Howevard and Barbar M.M. Wood Prize, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship.  His first book of poems, Slow Lightning, was selected as the 2011 winner of the Yale Younger Poets Prize, making him the first Latino recipient.  He lives in New York City and teaches as Columbia University.

 


 

The Joynes Reading Room is located on the east side of the Carothers Residence Hall at 2501 Whitis Avenue on the University of Texas at Austin Campus.  Paid parking is available at the garage at 25th Street and San Antonio. 

No tickets or RSPV are required, however seating will be limited.  Call 512 471-5787 for more information.
